Bob Marley makes good drinks... and the Sharks are still undefeated!!

FOR REALS.

(Okay, so it's not Bob Marley... it's his people, but still!)
This stuff? Addicting. Tastes a bit like Starbucks... only better. And cheaper.

This stuff? Holy hell!! I just finished drinking some... and I want more.
I am totally in a mellow mood... and I'm watching a hockey game. I'm serious. On my bottle, it says "Reduces stress and reduces tension"... well, the Sharks scored 2 goals in less than a minute, and I didn't even go crazy. Nope. I just nodded... and said, "Yep. That's how it's done." That's a first.

Lack of sleep could also be a factor here... ha!
Yeah, I didn't get much sleep last night. I fell asleep right when the sun came up and I had to get up around 9-ish this morning. Lovely. So I've been running around on about 3... maybe 3 1/2 hours of sleep. I've been in semi-zombie mode all day. I repeat: lovely. Thank goodness there were no tests/quizzes today.

I wore my San Jose Sharks dog tag necklace today and my friend Ashley wore her Sharks hoodie... that's a magic combination, because some amazing stuff happened this morning during English class! First, we were told that there is going to be no class on February 14th... that's my birthday. I get to sleep in on my birthday. I'll only have math that day... I can go for that! THEN, he decided to skip our "group"... we didn't have to summarize/read quotes from Gulliver's Travels to our class. Ha! That's what I'm talking about!

*The Oilers just tied the game (2-2), and I still didn't cause a scene, by the way* That's also a first.

We always get out early... way before 12:15. Normally I go home for lunch and come back for math later in the day, but this time I opted to stay on campus and hang out in the library. It was interesting.

*OKAY REF, WHAT IN THE F*CK WAS THAT?!?!?!*
(I think Sir Bob is starting to wear off.)

I decided to read my World Lit reading assignments... there wasn't that much to read, so I figured I'd get it done so I wouldn't have to read them over the weekend on Monday. I decided to listen to Emerson Drive while I was doing so. I had all of their songs/albums on shuffle... I made to song 54 out 78, and I had to quit. 1) I kept smiling randomly like a weirdo idiot. 2) I almost wept during two of the songs. Yeah, I had to quit listening. Next up? PEARL JAM!!! While I was making the musical transition to PJ, another one of Patrick Marleau's "twins" came in and sat next to me.

I've seen 3 dudes that resemble Patrick Marleau... but out of the 3, this one looked the least like him. This dude had the face... but the hair/beard threw it all off. But I don't care... it was totally a Marleau look-a-like. I will not complain.

I think I might hang out in the library from here on out. When I go home for lunch... I have no desire to back to the campus and endure math. Staying on campus today made things a tad easier... I still had that frame of mind.

Math class. My instructor is nice... and she treats us like babies... but this lady is a mess. I know she's a tad on the older side... but yeah, she's a mess. This older dude in my class (mid 40s... maybe early 50s?) complimented my new-ish haircut. Thank you for noticing! But... no. Also, a cute-ish dude sat next to me and we conversed a lot about the problems she was having us do. Also... OMG. There's this dude in my class who is 1/2 Marq Torien from the Bulletboys and 1/2 Nathan Parsons... well, maybe it's about 60/40... 70/30? But close enough. Both resemblances are there. I'm guessing he's an art major... the mystery! But that's the not the important thing I was OMG-ing about. Ha! There's this other cute-ish guy... he was wearing a Bob Marley shirt today. *Swooooon* Yeah. He has that type of hair that you're not sure if he's washed it this week... but I don't even care, because apparently, that's my thing. Haha! (River Phoenix... Nathan Parsons... Johnny Depp etc.)

Going back to the hockey game. (they're still playing, by the way.) The first 20 minutes of this game were extremely boring. Scoreless on both ends... not much was happening. Logan Couture finally scored in the 2nd period (7:32) and Joe Pavelski scored less than a minute later (8:11). Both of those goals were unassisted. 2-0 Sharks. A little more than 2 minutes later (10:56), Sam Gagner cut the Sharks' lead in half (assisted by Fistric and Yakupov). Taylor Hall tied the game (0:51) in the 3rd period. (Assisted by Eberle and Nugent-Hopkins.) Oh, and Ryane Clowe scored, but they disallowed it because they had already blown the whistle or some crap like that. Woo. Also, there hasn't been very many penalties. Only 8, I believe?

*Overtime is happening at this very second.*
I smell a shootout...

*This game is going into a shootout*

First up: Sharks: Handzus... GOAL!!!!!!
Next up: Oilers: Gagner:.. Miss.
Next up: Sharks: Pavelski... Save.
Next up: Oilers: Nugent-Hopkins... Miss.
Next up: Sharks: Boyle... GOAL!!!!!!

AHHHHHH!!!!!!
THE SAN JOSE SHARKS WIIIIIIN!!!! 3-2!!!

7-0... STILL UNDEFEATED!!!!!

*P.S.- My tweets/notes/letters are 7 for 7. Miraculous!

STILL UNDEFEATED.

Where in the hell do I even begin??? I can't breathe, my head is pounding, and my heart is racing. Hockey... what a rush!! And reverse psychology works... a little bit. Oh my goodness. Shootouts kill me... every time.

(I got this from the Sharks' official Facebook page)

Okay, so, the Anaheim sucks Ducks almost won. Even though the Sharks were the first team to score (Go Pavelski!!!) the Ducks outplayed the Sharks on every level. But that's not why they almost won. Well, it was part of the reason why, but the main reason was because the officials were clearly on their side. Talk about a one-sided hockey game. What... in... the... hell???? Okay, so Patrick Marleau barely tapped Cory Perry's stick, and the idiot Perry intentionally flopped onto the ice. A penalty was called. ARE YOU SERIOUS?? That was so NOT worthy of a penalty. However, Logan Couture was almost on a breakaway, but he got tripped up... NO penalty was called. SERIOUSLY!!! Then at the end of the 2nd period, another BS penalty was called... they got Marleau for "goaltender interference"... but there was no goaltender interference. Marleau was in front of the net, doing his job. There was nothing "interfering" about it. Now, there were some questionable penalties given to the Ducks but not near as many that were wrongfully given to the Sharks. The Sharks could have scored 5 goals during 60 minutes, and they still would have found some way to let the Ducks win. I hate bias officiating. I hate it.

There were so many off-the-post- shots this game, that it should have been way higher than a 2-2 game.

So yeah, the Ducks pretty owned the entire game. Joe Pavelski scored the first goal of the game (9:46) assisted by Thornton and Marleau. That was the only lead the Sharks had throughout those 3 periods.
The 2nd period was once again dominated by the Ducks. Play wise and scoring wise. Francois Beauchemin scored (8:40) (assisted by Koivu and Ryan) and almost a minute later, Beleskey scored (9:39) (assisted by  Getzlaf and Winnik. The 3rd period saw a bit of an awakening for the Sharks... play wise but not so much scoring wise. Although a few of the Sharks players did hit the posts (talk about some major heart attacks!)
17:15 into the 3rd period... and Logan Couture scores (assisted by Gomez and Clowe)!!
OH MY GAWWWWD!! The game was now tied 2-2. The Sharks were starting to show some grit.

Moving along... right into OT. Overtime. I can't handle OT. I can't. 5 minutes... and nobody was able to score. Next up: SHOOTOUT. Ahhhhh!!!! I can't do shootouts. I can't. That's worse than OT. Seriously. Good lord. Heart attacks... strokes... headaches... you name it. They all go down during shoot outs.
(My head is still pounding, by the way.)

First up: Sharks: Handzus... GOAL!
Next up: Ducks: Ryan... Save
Next up: Sharks: Pavelski... Save
Next up: Ducks: Fucktard Perry: Save (HAR!)
Next up: Clowe: Save
Last up: Ducks: Selanne... a big... fat... MISS!

*Ducks 2  Sharks 3*

SHARKS WIN!!! SHARKS WIN!!! YEEEAAAAHHHH!!!

The San Jose Sharks are 6-0...
still undefeated!!!!

*P.S.- My "letters" or "notes" are 6 for 6.. heehee!! I'm not sharing any of my tweets from tonight, though... trust me, it's for the better! hahaaaa!

That was my kind of hockey game...

Ohhhhhhh yessssssss!

Canucks 1 Sharks 4

Tonight's game was crazy. Tonight's game was aggressive. Tonight's came was insane...

TONIGHT'S GAME WAS INTENSE!!!

Big hits/big checks, 3 fights, 2 goals scored in the first 4 minutes of the hockey game, lots... and lots of penalties.

I didn't think there was anyone who hated the Vancouver Canucks as much as I do... well, I was wrong. The Sharks hate the Canucks just as much as I do... especially Ryane Clowe. Holy crap!

The game started out 4 on 4. Yeah, that's right, 4 on 4. Ryane Clowe and Alexandre Burrows both got 2 minutes for unsportsmanlike conduct, before the puck even dropped. Finally, the puck was dropped... and Joe Thornton scored 43 seconds later!!! Vlasic and Stuart got the assists. Less than 3 minutes later, Joe Pavelski scored his first goal of the season (unassisted), making it 2-0 Sharks!! You read that right, the Sharks had a two goal lead, and it wasn't even 4 minutes into the game yet.

Those were the only 2 goals that were scored during the 1st period. The rest of the period was filled with penalties... as well as a 45 second fight between Ryane Clowe and Zack Kassian. That fight was long and sweet... especially since Clowe clearly won it.

I take notes on all of this stuff (yes, I'm a dork) but I'm lazy, so here's a screen cap from the Sharks' official site (http://sharks.nhl.com/club/boxscore), of all the penalties that occurred during the 1st period.
Yeah, Clowe and Stuart were absolute messes during that period.
More so, Clowe.

Alexandre Burrows scored almost midway through the second period (assisted by Hansen), which cut the Sharks' lead in half. That's okay, because Patrick Marleau scored a little over 3 minutes later!!! Oh, yes!! 3-1 Sharks!! Marleau had a little help from Vancouver's goalie (Schneider) but Patty was still credited with the goal.

Ryane Clowe was still a mess during the 2nd period. A giant mess. He acted like a rabid beast.
He was pissed as hell as he walked off the bench to the locker room.
A rabid, hot mess, indeed.

3rd period. Joe Pavelski scored his 2nd goal!! Thornton and Marleau got the assists. That was the only goal scored in the 3rd period but both teams made up for that by fighting. Yeah, we'll just call the 3rd period the fighting period. 2 fights occurred: Douglas Murray vs. Aaron Volpatt at 12:05. Andrew Dejardins vs. Kevin Bieksa at 16:26. Once again, this period was filled with penalties.
Yeah, this game was a mess... but it was absolutely wonderful.

I am proud to be a Sharks fan.
There might've been a lot of physical contact between these two teams, but the Sharks still played it classy.
As my friend Ashley-Marie stated, "Clowe is all about that thug lyfe"... but even so, he is still classier than the Canucks. I hate the Canucks and I'm glad they lost.

ALSO, the Sharks were 7/7 on the PK (penalty kill)... that's pretty much miraculous. Tonight's game marked Niemi's 100th career NHL win, as well as coach McLellan's 200th career win. Sadly, Marleau didn't break the record... but he was damn close in doing so!! Still, he can proudly say that he's 1 of the 2 people to hold the current record.

But yeah, this game was epic. So epic, that I totally forgot those Sedin sisters were prancing around on the ice. hahaha! Seriously. Their names were hardly mentioned... for once they were NOT the main focus of the night. Thank gawd.

The San Jose Sharks are 5-0... still undefeated

*P.S.- I only had to tweet 1 "note"... haha!

I bleed teal.

Patrick Marleau became the first player in 95 years to score multiple goals in four straight games to start a season. He is the first player to achieve this since Cy Denneny in 1917-18. Mhm! He scored another 2 goals today. He as also the #1 star of the game... again.

Patrick Marleau is STILL a BEAST!!!!

What can I say? The San Jose Sharks are kicking ass and I am loving it. Every single second of it.

Today's game was an early one! The puck dropped at 1pm (PST)... these types of games are rare for the Sharks. But the early didn't start didn't phase them. Not one bit. If anything, it lit a fire. The San Jose Sharks whooped the Colorado Avalanche, 4-0. I love it then the Sharks beat the Avalanche... it's rather personal... ha! This wasn't just a Marleau win, this was a team win. Today was also Scott Gomez's first game as a San Jose Shark.

Let's get to it!!

I only had to write 1 letter... well, actually, it was more like a note. Probably the most informal one, yet.
A fight broke out about 10 minutes after I tweeted this. Twitter ate my tweet, though. A fight broke out after a controversial hit took place. Brad Stuart sent Gabriel Landeskog flying. Twitter pretty much exploded at that point. Was it a clean hit? Was it an illegal hit? A lot people are saying it was clean and a lot of people are saying it was a dirty hit, and that Stuart should be fined/suspended. My take? It happened really fast. Even with the replays are a bit fast. I'm not bias (I'm not a fan of Stuart and I never have been) but I call a clean hit. From what *I* saw, his arm was down, it wasn't an elbow, he used his shoulder... and I don't think he was intentionally going after Landeskog's head. I could be wrong. But I've seen hits that were far worse and far dirtier. Anyway Ryan O'Byrne instigated the fight with Brad Stuart... causing Stuart to only get a 5 minute major and O'Byrne getting 19 minutes.

About 1 minute later (11 minutes after my "note" ha!) ... this happened. Mhm!
Marleau scored!! (assists: Pavelski and Boyle) Then about a minute and a half later, he scored again!! (assists: Pavelski and Boyle)
Marleau really WAS a trending topic on Twitter!!
Joe Thornton and Brad Stuart were also trending topics throughout the game... Stuart trended the longest.

Early in the 2nd period, "Jumbo" Joe Thornton gave the sharks a 3 goal lead! (assists: Clowe and Marleau)
Late in the 2nd period, Matthew Irwin scored his first NHL goal!! (assists: Havlat and Clowe)

No goals were scored in the 3rd period but it really didn't matter. At that point, I think the Sharks were focusing on not letting any goals get past Greiss. The Sharks succeeded!

Thomas Greiss got his first NHL shutout!!
Today's win was absolute team effort. Everyone stepped up. It wasn't just one person... or a handful of guys... everyone worked hard. The 3rd and 4th lines really stepped up their game.
I think Thomas Greiss should start more often... I prefer him over Niemi... less heart attacks when Greiss plays. True story.

The Sharks are now 4-0. Still undefeated.
We get the Sedin sisters tomorrow.

I can't breathe right now...

OMG!!! WHAT A GAME!!!

That was an AMAZING home opener!!!

And Marleau? Yeah, he is STILL a BEAST!!!
He will forever be a BEAST.

The game was scoreless for a while... time to start tweeting some letters. Ha! Finally, Logan Couture scored (Assists: Pavelski and Thornton), late in the 1st period!! However, their lead didn't last long. The Coyotes responded with a goal at 7:11 in the 2nd period.

3rd period. Phoenix scored again... but they shouldn't have counted it. It was totally goaltender interference. Don't even get me started. Don't. THEN Phoenix scored AGAIN. The Sharks were down by 2 (3-1). I couldn't go for that.

Marleau scored (Assists: Thornton and Irwin)!!!! He's a beast. A BEAST, I tell you!!! Another informal letter to my boys in teal.
I had to retweet a tweet from the official Sharks twitter page. Marleau
8 minutes after my informal letter, Havlat tied it up (Assists: Clowe and Couture). Haha!
11 minutes later, Sir Beast scored!! That's 2 goals for Marleau... AGAIN (Assists: Pavelski and Thornton)!!! Patty is on fire!!!
Now, Marleau could've gotten a hat trick, but instead, he kept passing the puck to other players, so they could have hopes for scoring a goal. Marleau is a class act, people. A class act.
3 minutes later, Captain Joe Thornton aka "Jumbo" scored on an empty net with a few seconds left of the game (Assists: Pavelski and Marleau)
5-3 Sharks. Final. What a comeback!!!

This game only gave me a few heart attacks. Niemi loves giving us heart attacks.
I went crazy when Marleau scored the first goal... I went nuts when he scored the second one. I jumped up and down in my seat and slammed my lap top shut... haha! Beeeeaaaast!!!

The San Jose Sharks are still undefeated!!! 3-0

2 for 2 on Jan 22

Well, today didn't suck. I had a hard time getting out of bed this morning, but today did not suck.

January 21st and the 22nd are never good days for me, but this year, I managed to keep it together. Today would have been Michael Hutchence's (original lead singer for INXS) 53rd birthday. He should still be alive... but he isn't... and it sucks. January 22nd is also the day Heath Ledger died. It's been five years and I'm still absolutely in denial. Another ridiculously talented individual who died way before their time. Heath Ledger should still be alive, making great movies... but he isn't... and it sucks. Yeah.
*Emo moment is now over*

I had a two second thrill this morning... haha! The teacher from the previous class opted to keep the door open and Mr. Adorable walked by on his way to class. Ugh. He is so damn adorable. But he's like 12. Okay, maybe not 12... but he can't be more than 20... maybe 21 years old? Ugh. I feel like a cradle robbing creeper. Seriously.

BUT HE IS SO DAMN ADORABLE!!!!

Anyway, today in class, I had no clue what the instructor was talking about (well, I think I understood half?). I was lazy over the weekend. So I just sat there nodding my head. Man do I have a lot to read before Thursday... ha! Yikes.

Math class... ehhhhh. The lady is nice... and she's a very helpful instructor... but... ehhhh. She's one step up from the dry eyes guy... Ben Stein. Ahhhh!! Also, some f-tard took my seat. I've been sitting in the same seat since the start of the semester... which was also my same seat last semester. Yeah, he literally pushed everyone out of the way, so he could be one of the first ones in class today. Asshole. I didn't say anything, because I didn't want to get shot. Soooo I sat opposite side in the back corner... interesting bunch back there. Yeah. I was two seats away from the Davey Havok (Crash Love-era) look-a-like. I was waiting for him to yell, "Oh!" but sadly, he did not. Our first test is on Thursday... that should be lovely. Yep. Lovely.

Today is my Grandmother's birthday (Father's mother). My Mom baked her a cake (she was feeling nice this year, ha!) and we brought it over to her... she was uber surprised... and uber thankful. I don't think I've ever heard her say so many thank-yous in my life. The good news? That didn't cut into my hockey watching time. I know, I'm an ass. But if you had my relatives, you would totally understand.

THE SHARKS KICKED BUTT TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It started off as a slaughter. Mhm. A SLAUGHTER. It was 6-1 in the first period.

The Sharks scored two goals within the first like five minutes. Dan Boyle scored the first goal and Logan Couture scored the second goal. Buuuut shortly after, one of the dudes from the Oilers scored. I can't go for that. Soooo I tweeted a letter to the Sharks... not a formal one, like I would on Facebook, it was informal, but apparently, those work just as well. If not better. I screen capped everything. Proof, man... proof! Ha!

(Start from the bottom up)
See, I don't make this stuff up. I tweeted, Marleau quickly responded (again!)... I get the two goal lead back... AND I got my 4 goal lead. Hell, they even had a FIVE goal lead. The hockey gods are the middleman. Mhm!

Of course, the five goal lead didn't last... the Oilers managed to score 2 more goals. But hey, the Sharks WON!! 6-3... they are undefeated right now. 2 for 2. My "letters" are also 2 for 2, by the way. Ha!

Yes, I am a mess... but you love it!

SHARKS WIN!! SHARKS WIN!!

 Absolute happiness

I've missed my Sharkies. I've missed seeing Patrick Marleau on my TV screen. I've missed the teal.
The Sharks' pre-game show almost killed me. The anticipation was absolutely thrilling... and the pre-game, on-ice interview with Patrick Marleau was absolutely fabulous.

The game didn't start out that great. The flames pretty much owned the first period. Niemi held his own, though... even though Calgary scored in the first period, making it 1-0... but that was the only goal they scored. I know we can't expect much right now... or for the first few games of this new "season" for that matter, but the way the Sharks played in that first period was absolutely terrible. Something needed to be done during that first intermission... something needed to done to light that fire.

Something was done.

2nd period... one word name: MARLEAU!!!! My man, Marleau was on FIRE!!!! He scored the first goal for the Sharks (I predicted that, btw). About a minute or so later, Havlat scored, making it 2-1 Sharks. Heck to the yes!! The Sharks were pretty much owning it at this point. Marleau scored again!!! 3-1 Sharks! Yeah, Marleau is a beast!! Now, I'm not going to take full credit for this... but I will take some credit. I wrote one of my famous Facebook letters to my dearest Sharkies, asking for something spectacular to happen... Marleau brought the spectacular not long after that. Haha! Those "letters" work 7 out of 10 times... just sayin'. ;) Ha!

3rd period went well for the Sharks... Niemi made damn sure that Calgary would remain with their lone goal. I have to give Niemi some props... the Flames were all over him tonight, but he held his own! He played a great game!! Dan Boyle scored in a goal in the right net! Hooray! 4-1 Sharks. Final. I also fully enjoyed the post-game Marleau interview.

The Sharks started out a bit shakey... okay, way shakey, but the fire was lit, and they ended up kicking ass!! What a great way to start off the season!! The Sharks play Edmonton next (in Edmonton)... then they return home for their home opener on Thursday

I'm watching a hockey game...

A HOCKEY GAME!!!!
AN NHL HOCKEY GAME!!!!

My world is complete. My heart is complete. Well... almost. It's not a Sharks game. Their season opener is tomorrow... then everything will be complete. But yeah, things are good in my world right now.

To think I almost (yes, almost) chose to boycott this "season". When they first announced the schedule for the 48 game season, only 9 (yes, NINE) Sharks games were scheduled to be televised. Ummm... NO! That wasn't going to work. F*ck that. Buuuuut they just announced the televised schedule a few days ago... and BAM! All 48 Sharks game will be televised. I'm back in. Why the potential boycott? Well, us fans have already been screwed over enough. 1) Two (yes, TWO) lockouts in the last 8 years. 2) We've gone almost half of this season without any NHL games. 3) No Winter Classic. None of my teams are ever in the Winter Classic, but still. It's something that every hockey fan looks forward to, whether or not their team is playing in it. I was NOT about to get screwed over even more by not having my Sharks games televised.

But like I said, things are good! I'm watching the Blackhawks play the Kings... in L.A. I enjoyed watching the Stanley Cup festivities... but I STILL can't believe the Kings won the Cup. My Father's team won the Stanley Cup before my team. Meh. I like Kopitar and I like Brown... but I can't go for that (no can do). hahaha!

However, L.A. Kings fans are rather quiet right now: the Kings are down 4-0 in the 2nd period. Ha!

I survived the first day back...

... but can this new semester end now? PLEASE?!

Let's start with me being a dumbass. For some reason, I thought I needed to take a few more English classes... no. Apparently, I only need 1 more. I registered for two English classes. I thought I had to take 48B because I took 48A last semester... no. I already took a consecutive A and B pairing, the final 6 units worth of English classes are fair game... a free for all. Yeah, I realized this last night. Why didn't I realize this while I was registering for classes 2 months ago? Ha! One of the two English instructors had emailed us saying that the syllabus was already posted on blackboard... I read the syllabus last night... no. NO! I immediately facebooked my friend and told her "shoot me now. I do not want to take this class. I do not." THAT'S when I realized that I only had to take 1 English class (I re-read the degree criteria sheet).

I told my friend this morning about my predicament. The same applied to her. After reading that horrendous syllabus for the first English class, we semi-decided that THAT class would probably be the one that we'd drop. But we still went to check it out... and we decided that we'd pick the lesser of the two evils.

9:30am. Class time. There were about 7 or so people from our previous 48A class and a few people that were in our previous English classes. Bettman and "click, click, click girl" were among the 7. Nice. Not. Actually, Bettman was about 20 minutes or so late? Typical. The instructor soooo called him out. Anyway, the instructor had the personality of a sponge. She was nice (enough)... but she was dry. Boring. She wasn't someone that we could deal with for 18 weeks. Although, she did mention "Smoke on the Water"... riff and all. That gave her some plus points. But no. Just, no. Ashley and I both kept looking at each other like, "this is the one we are dropping. Totally." I mean, there was almost NO WAY that our second class was going to be worse than this one. Well, unless Ewing was teaching it... but that's a whole other nightmare. A girl that Ashley knows, told us that Good (our next instructor) wasn't going to be teaching the class, and that they were trying to find someone else to teach it. I thought the girl said he was terminally ill... Ashley thought she said he was about to be terminated (or had been terminated)... interesting... off to the next class we went. There's a 15 minute gap in between the classes, but we were let out early... so we had some time to kill.

We walked upstairs and froze our butts off. Well, I froze my butt off... not sure about her. Ha! I like to people watch, so I watched the people walk by down below. I spotted at least 4 people from last semester amongst the crowd. I have good eyes. "Puppy love"... Ashley's "army boy" (haha!)... aaaand Sir Cuteness (yeah, one of the dudes from some of my previous posts). I saw him walking towards the English building but I had no clue he was going to walk up the stairs. That was a pleasant surprise! Very pleasant! Those eyes and that smile. Ugh! I played it cool, though... didn't I, Ashley??? Haaaa! He's an interesting dude, though. He walked through the hallway of classes, checked the numbers on the doors, and walked out the other side. Then about 5 minutes later he walked back through the hallway of classes, and took a second look at our classroom's door. We were almost convinced that he was going to be in our World Lit class... but that's not the case. He's in a class close to that, apparently. But yeah, he stood a couple feet away, parallel to us, for about 5 minutes or so? Maybe a tad more. That was good enough. Heehee!

11am. Class time. Weird classroom. Smaller than what our usual rooms have been... we face the door this time... and the windows are behind us. Less seats, too... which is good. The roster wasn't full, but I'd say there were about 20 or so people in there? There were about 6 empty seats. Mr. Good is the instructor... we soon came to the conclusion that "terminated" is not what that lady said. Hopefully the guy makes it through the semester. He actually HAS personality... he has character. I got the feeling that he genuinely loves English and loves teaching it. He's funny... and sarcastic... and he gets the passing grade. I don't know how many times we looked over at each other and said, "This one, definitely!", "You wanna keep this one?", "You wanna drop the other one?" This class just seems more interesting... and this instructor just seems more passionate about what he's teaching. We don't know anyone in this class (well, I've had one of the girls in a previous class, but I don't know her.) And best of all... NO BETTMAN!! Free at last. So yeah, this one's a keeper!

I went home for lunch but had to head back for math at 3 o'clock. Bleh. Too many distractions in that class, and I totally liked my previous math class way better. My instructors name is Mrs. Rhodes... I knew that would be a distraction, because I knew I would constantly think of Nick Rhodes (of Duran Duran) and probably hear some Duran Duran tunes in my head throughout the duration of the class. Which I did. But it gets better. Roll call. "Stephanie... Stephanie Duran?" Ha! Nice. I have a Rhodes for an instructor and a Duran as a classmate. I'm tellin' ya, there's never a dull moment.

So yeah, the day started off a little crappy (I hate January 8th). I hate it because Steve Clark (Def Leppard) passed away on this day, back in 1991. I woke up with an upset stomach and a burning left eye (apparently, January 8th hates me too). But on a lighter note, It's David Bowie's birthday! He turned 66 today AND he released a new single!! NEW BOWIE MUSIC!! It only took a decade... but heck to the YES!! Bowie is a beast. My morning/day got way better around 10:45am ;) Math made my head hurt... but at least I understood it. I had a Dr. Pepper for dinner... all is good.
